Department of Ophthalmology, Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore is organising a CME on “ Cornea and Refractive surgery” on 22nd June 2014. We look forward to your esteemed presence and wholesome participation at the same. In a world where aesthetics and striving for perfection has come to assume a pivotal role, the advent of refractive surgery was deemed a boon. It  caters to all age groups and their respective visual complaints, be it myopia, hypermetropia, astigmatism or presbyopia, eliminating the dependence on glasses and  contact lenses. For years, ophthalmologists have carefully navigated the challenges associated with achieving good refractive outcomes and the field  has seen tremendous advancements in a short span of time. Designed for general ophthalmologists, cornea, cataract and refractive specialists, this CME provides an overview of present day trends and the recent advancements that will help the clinical and surgical practices. It also seeks to provide a forum for exchange of ideas and discussion of controversial issues and unanswered questions pertaining to the same.

Karnataka Medical Council has awarded Two credit hours for this CME and prior registration is complimentary but compulsory for the same.
